Thomas Muscolino works at AECC. He is interested in joining Rotary because of our community service and "camaraderie." He plans to participate in committees, functions, and fund raising events. He is sponsored by Joseph VanHaelst.
President Karen Quartaro called the meeting to order on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 12:05 pm at the American Legion. Kevin Mooney led the invocation and pledge. Mike Muscolino was the Sgt. at Arms.
Community Service: Jan Hence reminded everyone to sell raffle tickets. We will be selling services this year at the Pancake Breakfast—if you have a service or skill we can sell, please let Jan know. Gary Reilly thanked everyone on the committee for their time and talent. He reminded everyone the committee meets every first Tuesday of the month at Parker’s.
Membership: Kevin Mooney reminded everyone that the committee’s next meeting is next week at Parker’s.
Norma Reilly discussed the District Training Assembly coming up in Newark this spring. She said it will be a great learning opportunity and encouraged all to attend.
Foundation: Fred Hicks said we are almost to $10,000. Please give if you haven’t.

Tim Johnson talked about his trip to Montana for the holidays.
Kimberlee Meeks talked about her 10th anniversary at Vintage Bead and Breakfast.
Russ Harris’s son closed on a house in Irondequoit, and then suddenly decided to get married last Wednesday. The wedding only cost Russ $60.
Jean William’s grandson married on New Year’s Eve, but had to go back to his base the next day.
Norma Reilly talked about Rotary Friendship Exchange—they spent 16 days with several Rotary couples abroad recently through the program. In May of this year, they will travel to Scotland, Finland in August, and will host another couple through the program. She encouraged everyone to travel through the program and/or host visitors.
