A big thank you to everyone for all of their hard work, and great community spirit. We don’t have numbers yet - but the overall feeling was that everyone had a great time and it was a success.
Newark Arcadia Museum is hosting a fundraiser - Sponsoring a showing of “It’s a Mad, Mad, World” on 9/25 at 7:00 pm. Dave Tyler and John Zornow have some free tickets - please come out and support the Ohmann Theater.
Called to Care, Canandaigua presents a concert with the Fiddlers of the Genesee on Sunday, 9/29 3pm - 4:30pm at the United Church, 11 Gibson Street, Canandaigua

Holly was with her daughter, Megan, in Ithaca and missed the festival.
Paul Salisbury- 9/12/65 - wedding anniversary
Doug Doebler - he and Sylla raised enough to send 125 kids in Haiti to attend school! Great job!
Lucina Hallagan had a wonderful time with her grandson in California taking him to Disneyland – and was on roller coasters by 8:00 am!

Program: Laci Graham introduced Trooper Jason Klewicki, 26 years based in the Adirondacks, Rochester and currently in Farmington. He currently works for the School and Community Outreach Unit.
Jason shared his experience as a New York State Trooper. His father was a State Trooper and always wanted to be a Trooper. He volunteered for the Air Force and served 4 years.
All Troopers are trained at the NYS Training Academy in Albany which runs from Sunday night through Friday evening for 6 months. It is a “live-in” training. Training is very vigorous - academic, military training, physical fitness. They use reality based training as well. They teach defensive tactics and extensive weapons training. They also train in driving including high speed and backwards in a variety of vehicles. All recruits must maintain a 75% average during their entire training period and are tested weekly. They have one opportunity to retake a test.
There are various units: Scuba, Snowmobile, Bomb Disposal, Helicopter, Accident Reconstruction, Crime Scene, Marine or Boat Patrol, Drone, K-9 - bombs and drug as well as a Blood Hound, Bureau of Criminal Investigations, Mounted Unit, Special Response, and many others. There is also a Pipe and Drum Unit.

What is the protocol for using weapons? There must be justification of grave physical danger.
