There will be no meeting on November 26th due to the celebration of Thanksgiving. We wish everyone a very happy and blessed Thanksgiving.
WELCOME VISITORS
President Donna welcomed us to last week's meeting.
“It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood -
how appropriate to have Mr. Rogers joining us.”
Tom Rogers was visiting from the Canandaigua club - “The Premier Club in Ontario County”
WELLNESS REPORT
Bob Bendix reported that his sister Jean Williams is doing well following her knee surgery.
HEALTHY MOMENT
Grace Norcott reminded us that during the holidays we focus on eating. Maybe we could pick 3 favorite items to put on our Thanksgiving dinner plate and not try everything. Perhaps we can focus on NON-FOOD traditions. Remember one day will not be your undoing! Most important, come away without regrets.
BAD-DAD JOKES
From Norma’s nephew’s daughter in England
I went for an eye test at the opticians around 10 years ago. I had to look into this large machine and tell the optician what I could see. “I can see closed pubs, face masks and full hospitals” “Well you don’t need glasses," he said. "You have 2020 vision.”
From our friends in Australia
A 6 year old was asked, Where does Grandma live? Oh, he said, she lives at the airport, and whenever we want her, we just go get her. Then when we are done having her visit, we take her back to the airport”
FRED - What do you call dental x-rays?
Tooth-pics
Compliments of MaryJo Fenyn
You know that you are getting older when a friend with benefits is a person who can drive at night.
Where do you take someone who has been injured in a PEEK-A-BOO accident? To the I.C.U.

HAPPY MOMENTS AND CONFESSIONS
Adam O. confessed that he has stayed away from weekly meetings because of the BAD-DAD JOKES! Seriously, he has been very busy with all the people doing home improvements during the pandemic. He will have more good news next week concerning a new business purchase
PAUL HARRIS AWARDS
Our visitor, Tom Rogers, helped to present three Paul Harris Fellow Awards. Scott Healy received a PH plus 4, Frank All also received a PH plus 4 and Dave Christler a PH plus 7.
Fred Hicks, our Foundation Chairman, gave us some background on Tom Rogers. Tom was the District Governor during the years 2016-2017. After his year as DG, he became the Vice Chairman of the District Foundation Committee. Tom and his wife are Major donors or the Rotary Foundation.
SPEAKER - TOM ROGERS
Fred invited Tom to speak to us because November is Foundation Month. Years ago Tom and his wife took an inspiring trip out west. They met a man living a simple life as a Silver-Smith in Durango near the Navajo reservation. Through a Rotary grant he received a solar panel on his roof - his life changed!
For 100 years, 4 billion dollars have been given in grants -
CHANGING LIVES AROUND THE WORLD.
Tom noted that our club has been very generous with 49 Paul Harris Fellows. He explained how we can give to Rotary Direct through ‘My Rotary account’.
Tom recommended we watch Jennifer Jones on a virtual fundraiser event (check for zoom information). Jennifer is an inspirational speaker and will be our first woman Rotary President in 2022.
Our club has many active women members starting with Hannalora Reinhardt. I am proud to be a woman in Rotary - or as Susie would say
“I AM WOMAN, HEAR ME ROAR”
