(Message from Trudy Hicks)

I would like to thank my best friend FRED for taking notes at Rotary’s Zoom meeting last Thursday.  I am one of the lucky chosen few serving on the Grand Jury at the court house in Canandaigua.  I will miss one more Rotary meeting and then I will be serving every Tuesday until October.  I am learning a lot and feeling good about doing my civic duty.  They have AIR CONDITIONING (we don’t) so I’m happy to go!!

Wellness Report

Hannelora is reported to be feeling better and Helmuth’s back injection has helped his pain to some degree.

Please remember to keep Mary Jo Fenyn in your thoughts as she deals with the death of her husband Ed.

Paul Murphy, of Murphy’s funeral home is in the hospital.

Karen Dean’s son is doing better and continues with his chemo therapy.

Chuck Verkey is reported as doing much better.

club announcements

Due to the Corona Virus the Laurel House Gala for this fall has been cancelled.

Gary Reilly reported that the annual Golf tournament, supporting camp Onseyawa will provide dinners to-go. Check with Gary for details.

Paul Salisbury announced that they have started paving the canal path that passes through Newark.

DON’T FORGET  Thursday July 30th - Rotarians Have Talent.  Please let President Donna know what minute of talent you plan to share with the club.

Peter Blandino is helping with our new Premier Sponsor program.  So far we have 13 commitments and 8 people have paid.  Marc Kreuser has the recruitment forms. The forms are also on the website.

Speaker - christine hanford

Steve Hallagan introduced our guest speaker - Christine Hanford.  Christine is the US census co-ordinator for western New York.

Rotary International is proud to take part in helping the census bureau.

Taking the census impacts more than just obtaining numbers of people -for example how many children will be attending schools and what nutritional needs will be required.
