HEALTHY MOMENT
Grace Norcott encouraged us to walk for Alzheimers. Grace and her family are walking in Canandaigua under the team name “Mann Power” in honor of her father Chuck Mann who suffered with Alzheimers for 12 years. You can check Alzheimers.org for any questions you might have. Grace fondly remembered our member Dana Marsh who was a Silver Sneakers participant and brought food to a coffee meeting at the Community Center to discuss Alzheimers.
BAD-DAD JOKE
At a nursing home, a group of Seniors were sitting around talking about all their ailments. “My arms have gotten so weak I can hardly lift this cup of coffee” said one. “Yes I know” said another. “My cataracts are so bad I can’t even see my coffee”.
“I couldn’t even mark an X at election time, my hands are so crippled” volunteered a third. “What? Speak up. I can’t hear you” “I can’t turn my head because of the arthritis in my neck” said a fourth. “My blood pressure pills make me dizzy” I forgot where I am and where I’m going.” “I guess that’s the price we pay for getting old!”
“Well count your blessings and thank God WE CAN ALL STILL DRIVE!

Pat Albrecht and Michele McManus (the Gala Girls) were sad to remind us that there is no Gala this year.
