Nicholas Sebastian D’Amico, Phd was born in Rochester, New York in October of 1952. At the age of three he got his “...kicks on Route 66” when his parents transplanted him in Los Angeles County. From 1973 until May of 2019 he worked as a teacher and Educational administrator in California, Oregon, and Texas. Dr. D’Amico holds a masters degree in Latin American economic development in a doctorate in educational administration and policy studies both from the University of California Los Angeles. He speaks fluent Spanish and Portuguese and he’s learning Italian and Greek during his retirement days. 

 Nick Is the biological father of Dr. Lorenzo D’Amico a biomedical engineer and Nicholas Luciano D’Amico and urban planner & real estate attorney in Los Angeles. He adopted a seven-year-old girl 20 years ago and has three grandchildren living in California. He is currently working on a graphic biography & film about the life and times of Ferdinand Pecora, a young Sicilian immigrant and founding member of the Securities & Exchange Commission. Pecora was an important member of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s administration. He joined Rotary while teaching in Houston.

District Governor Dave Hannan threw out the first pitch at the Rochester Redwings game last Saturday. He made it over the home plate!
