It’s a new year filled with promise and opportunity. While we will continue with what has worked in the past, I look forward to the innovative spirit that will guide our members down new roads of achievement.
For instance, I’m excited to be writing to you in the inaugural issue of Newark Rotary’s Monthly Bulletin. The Bulletin will now be a forward looking publication, with an emphasis on upcoming events, meetings and social activities, along with reminders of the member’s scheduled tasks.
Of course we will still document past events and the highlights of our weekly meetings. The things you look forward to seeing when you’ve missed a meeting will still be there. But it will be the monthly highlights instead of the small details that were part of the weekly. I think that you will like this new format. December Happenings
President Jim filled a bag of groceries and brought it to a Rotary meeting. In December we collected food for the Newark Food Closet.
Dave Doebler presented checks on behalf of the club to the Newark Food Closet and Free Lunch Program.
Lynn Mooney organized our December social. We celebrated the holidays at First Glass Wine Bar. Thanks to Chrissie Kent and all who helped to with this event!
Mike Muscolino and Russ Harris Paul were presented with Paul Harris Fellow recognitions. Congratulations!
