Last week we held our first virtual club meeting! About 22 of you participated on your smartphones, tablets and computers. Thanks to all who participated.
If you can read this bulletin, you can participate in our next virtual Rotary meeting being held on Thursday, March 26 at 12:00 PM. Below is the information on how to join:
If you have a smartphone or tablet, download the Zoom app from the App Store or Google Play, depending on your device. Then, just enter the meeting number.
You will be on mute during the meeting to prevent background noise while President Holly or other speakers are talking. Otherwise, you will be unmuted.
Last Week's Meeting
Last week President Holly gave an update on the Pancake Breakfast (see below), Wellness Report (see below), pointed out it was National Caramel Day, National Poultry Day and National Laughter Day. There are many health benefits to laughter!
DG Dave updated us on the cancellation of the 2020 Rotary Convention and encouraged all of us to stay home as much as possible.
President Holly encourage us to support local businesses and to reach out to fellow Rotarians by phone or social media.
Jean Bendix said she is doing virtual voice lessons and Susie Earl said she is well stock up on wine and make-up! DG Dave said that our exchange students were recommended to stay in place and not try to travel home at this time.
Wellness Report
Sharon SanAngelo's surgery was postponed. Pat Albrecht was fighting a cold and her husband, Dave, has pneumonia.
Pancake Breakfast and Raffle Update
No final decision has been made to cancel the 2020 Pancake Breakfast. If you or someone you sold tickets to wish to be reimbursed, please mail the tickets to P.O. Box 374, Newark, NY 14513 with your name and address, and Bruce Chambers will mail a check.
The Raffle drawing has been postponed to a later date.
