Community Service: Gary Reilly left a list of activities coming up in May and June on all the tables at last week’s meeting. Jan Hence said our Rotary auction is coming up on June 22, and asked everyone to bring items in for auction. She also asked everyone to bring items in for the backpack program this month, and to sign-up for Hill Cumorah this year. Gail Chambers brought in posters for Community Pride Day on May 20. She asked everyone to bring one back to their businesses. Linda Werts said Mobile Pantry starts up next week and we seem good to go. She gave out a new corrected flyer and asked that everyone take down the first one she handed out. Membership: Kevin Mooney announced the next committee meeting is next Wednesday, May 10 at Parker’s at noon. PR: Graham Tedesco-Blair said we secured a day-center for Family Promise. He added, “PR is going smoothly.” Foundation: According to President Quartaro, we have now reached the $100 per person goal. Jean Bendix led everyone singing Happy Birthday for club members with May birthdays. Graham auctioned off the exempt button to Dr. Dave Hannan. Happy Moments: Adam Olschewske reminded everyone that Marshal Exteriors is organizing a Customer Appreciation Day May 20. Doug Doebler said a kid who volunteers with Doug in Haiti every year raised money for solar panels and 30 Kindle Fires for Haitian orphans.
