It’s February, and we’ve officially survived the SNOWAPOCALYPSE of 2026 ❄️💪 With just 47 days until spring, hope is on the horizon. But before we get too excited, there’s one very important metric still to watch… a groundhog will soon decide whether spring arrives early—or if winter tightens its grip a little longer.

Calling All Newark Rotarians!

 

We have a busy month ahead as we prepare to host our Pancake Breakfast on March 14, 2026. The committee has been meeting regularly for months, and now it’s time for the membership at large to step in and help make this event a success.

 

Please be sure you have your tickets in hand and start selling. In addition, there will be several volunteer positions that still need to be filled.

 

The Family Fest Committee is also actively meeting and planning. Norma has asked the membership to help elevate our festival by bringing new and fresh ideas to the committee for consideration. Your help is needed to keep this event fresh and fun for all. As everyone knows, this is our largest event of the year, generating the majority of our fundraising dollars.

 

I’m truly looking forward to a great time of service and fellowship with fellow Rotarians and our community as we work together to support all that we do as Newark Rotarians.

As Rotarians, we are called to Service Above Self. I truly enjoy our fellowship—whether at our weekly meetings or while working side by side at special events. As we move through February, let’s not grow tired of our mission. Instead, let’s continue to work together and support one another to make this a successful month.

 

And don’t forget—our 100th Anniversary is this year! The committee has met, and planning is well underway. This will be a fun and memorable evening as we celebrate 100 years of community service in Newark. Talk about surviving the test of time!
