- At the Board meeting we decided to institute a “friendly” $5-$10 fine if you don’t find a replacement when you are scheduled to be greeter or cashier. We appreciate everyone’s help.

Program: Steve Hallagan introduced Dave Richardson, curator, and Gene Davis from the Hoffman Clock Museum which is housed at the Newark Public Library.
The Hoffman foundation was established by the August and Jennie Hoffman Estate. He and his wife made a donation to the village of Newark funds to establish a museum to house antiques and clocks. The Hoffman Foundation does help support various museums around Wayne County.
Hoffman museum has the most extensive clock collection in New York State. Over 95% of the clocks in the collection are donated. Dave highlighted some of the clocks that were made in New York State in the collection.
The collection is estimated to be valued around $500,000
Clock repair work is done by Dave himself — it takes him about 1.5 hours to wind all of the clocks.
The museum actually winds about 60 clocks each week.
There are probably only about 10 clock museums in the U.S. — Our museum is a real gem. It is well worth your time to visit. www.hoffmanclockmuseum.org
