Invocation
Jean Bendix began the meeting with an invocation and the Pledge to the Flag. The club recited the Four-Way Test.

Wellness
  • Jean Bendix described her car accident with a cement truck, which ran a red light, after last week's Rotary meeting. Her Jeep was considerably damaged. Seat belts are good! We are very thankful Jean was not severely injured.
  • Holly Kreuser said that she and Marc talked to Fred and Trudy Hicks today. Fred is playing soccer three days a week and is not getting hurt.
 
Paul Harris Fellow presentation
PDG Norma presented the Paul Harris Fellow +2 pin to Adam O. She spoke about the good that the Rotary Foundation does around the world and we thanked Adam.

Happy Moments
  • Adam O said he is being dragged to a Lionel Richie concert by his wife in Niagara Falls. Richie is 73 years old and still going strong.
  • Marc Kreuser was happy to complete his final college move-in with Grace at the University of Vermont this past weekend.
  • Dave Christler announced that he is graduating six new police officers from the Finger Lakes Law Enforcement Academy.
  • Holly was happy to play her guitar for the first time in years. She played some John Denver songs and is ready to jam with Adam O!
  • Mitch recognized Jeff Patchen as his special person of the week for helping Jean during the accident. Everyone involved realized how much more serious the accident could have been.
  • Luis was very thankful for the successful Funday this past Sunday. He was so thankful for the miracle of blue skies shortly after praying for better weather.

President Mitch shared a card from Hannelora and Helmuth. They recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary and, in honor of it, made a $65 contribution.
 
Holly updated us on Malvina. She is registered at the high school. Malvina is interested in doing the musical as she is a dancer. Lucina Hallagan said she makes excellent perogies. She has moved from the Lucina and Steve Hallagan to the Malach family.
 
 
Mitch talked about maintaining resolve as we plan for the Family Festival. Our goal should be to keep moving forward. This is our FAIL (First Attempt In Learning).
