Snapple Facts:

  6. The number of times a cricket chirps in 15 seconds, pus the number 37, give you the current air temperature. (in Fahrenheit or Celsius? Don’t know)
Announcements:
  1. Please do not park between the dumpster and East Ave at the Rotary meeting
  2. Jan Hance announced that every ticket for the raffle is $100 profit - please sell tickets.  If we can sell all 250 tickets we will make more than all of the dinners and chicken BBQ’s combined over the course of the year.
  3. Newark Rotary Foundation was founded for the following reasons:  
  4. We are no longer offering chicken BBQ’s for several reasons, the cost of the food, lack of interest staffing the BBQ, and so the club decided to try something different and therefore decided to offer the $100 raffle.
  5. We have sold 160 tickets so far.
 
Happy Moments:
  1. Dave Johnson - Saturday is having an ARC Wayne Color Run
  2. Michele McManus - grandson made the McQuaid Varsity soccer team as a sophomore
  3. Doug Forgue - together with several Rotary members participated in the camp ONSEYAWA tear down.
  4. Scott Healy - youngest daughter expecting her first child — will be Scott’s 5th grandchild.
  5. Norma Madayag-Reilly - attended a conference on Rotary Leadership, because of this she had to miss the camp ONSEYAWA Carnival — Paul and Jeanne Salisbury filled in for her — thank you.
  6. Adam O - got his driveway sealed while on vacation. Went to Cape May - had a great time.

Queen of Hearts Russ Harris did not pick the Queen - the pot continues to grow. The pot is up to $829.00
 
 
Newark Fest Update:
  1. Bathrooms are up and running
  2. You will receive an email outlining what you have signed up for.
  3. We have some empty spots available — please contact Jim Weiler to see where you can help. (weiler@rochester.rr.com)
  4. Shirts:  Wear your gold colored “staff shirt” from last year. If you did not order one last year, there is a limited number of t-shirt you can pick up at Ruffalo’s or at the festival.
  5. We have about 6 or 7 food trucks — they all sound amazing.
  6. Reminder, when you receive the email with the Rotary Bulletin each week there is a list of what you have signed up for at the very bottom of the email.
