- Cards for Campers — everyone signed “thinking of you” cards for all of the campers of Camp ONSEYAWA
- Saturday, 8/10 at Warfields at 10:00 am — memorial for Hannelora and Helmuth grandson who passed.
- Mary Jo Fenyn - has a friend who is a care giver and is looking for employment. Please contact Mary Jo if you know someone who could use her help.
- Michel McManus is taking donations of cash or gift cards for the silent auction baskets for the Family Fest.

Program: Russ Harris introduced our 2023/2024 outbound Rotary Exchange student, Andrea Malach who spent her exchange year in Denmark. She spent August through June in Denmark. She will be studying
Andrea shared pictures of the places she stayed and visited during her stay. She mentioned that the school day was structured more like a college rather than our high schools in the United States.
- School trip: stayed in hostels and were responsible for their own meals - was given many more freedoms.
- Shared Christmas with 2nd host family - sang songs around Christmas tree, ate and talked from morning to evening.
- In January the Queen resigned and her son Frederick was coronated
- Third host family took her to the beach and the Grand Canary Island
- Went on the Eurotour at the end of her exchange.
Cultural difference
- free time/vacation time - more of it
- transportation - very bike friendly
- alcohol, smoking and nicotine use - drinking age is 16, more smoking
- friendliness - they are more private and reserved
- responsibility - youth are expected to take care of themselves
Food
- eat a lot of pork
- they have several traditional cakes
Culture shock
- swear words on the radio
- you see classmates and teachers schedules
- beer in fast-food restaurants
- you can walk in privately owned forest
- no school mascots or sports
