INSPIRATION
Lucina Hallagan reminded us that on the Advent calendar this is the Week of Hope”.
Here are 3 quotes on that subject.
Hope is a state of mind, not of the world.  Hope, in this deep and powerful sense, is not the same as joy that things are going well, or willingness to invest in enterprises that are obviously heading for success, but rather an ability to work for something because it is good.” Vaclav Havel

When I was young, my ambition was to be one of the people who made a difference in this world.  My hope is to leave the world a little better for having been there.Jim Hensen

Pooh felt that he ought to say something helpful about it, but didnt quite know what.  So he decided to do something helpful instead.”  A.A.Milne

HAPPY MOMENTS
Tim Johnson told us of a happy ending to his Thanksgiving visit and drive home from Philadelphia.  The truck ahead of them on the thruway was carrying an extension ladder that flew off.  Fortunately they were not hit but they did run over it!  You guessed it - a flat tire or more!  After a 4 hour wait with confusion over being in Pa or NY, they were towed ALL THE WAY HOME.

Marc Kreuser is happy that his Alma Mater, Virginia Tech has a new football coach.

The first brewery in NY was in Manhattan in 1623.  The original brewers were WOMEN with NY creating Cream Ale.
Paul is anxious for Wayne Co. to establish its first brewery which would attract new businesses and tourists.
