We made Valentine's Day cards for nursing homes at our last meeting.
Josh McCrossen opened the meeting discussing love as defined by the Greeks, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and the Four-Way Test.
No visitors or guests this week other than our youth exchange student Malwina.
Malwina said that she is still working on the musical, which is getting more intense. She will be going on a ski trip this weekend, sponsored by Rotex.
Wellness report: Everyone is doing well. Kevin Mooney said that Don Crowley passed away. Jean Bendix said that Gary Vanderbrook, who worked for the postal service and school district, has cancer, and would appreciate cards and support.
Announcements
- Mitch said that there are a container for Haiti and Newark Rotary Salutes to collect items.
- Holly asked that every person make a Valentine’s Day Card during the meeting, which will be given to local nursing homes.
- Donna Johnson talked about the upcoming trip to Tabi, Mexico, April 18 - 25. This will be the second trip to Tabi and will be a follow-up visit, which is required as a result of the water project. There will also be some sightseeing. Donna is looking for another volunteer to accompany her.

- Adam O. went on a cruise on the East Coast and got a tan, and then a convention in Las Vegas and got another tan.
- Karen Q is new grandmother! - Julia Jones was born to her daughter.
- Scott Healy announced an escape package for men - somehow right around the day of Valentines Day.
- Doug Doebler was on a two-week cruise and enjoyed it very much.
- Jean Bendix said that Aubrey was at a restaurant sitting near Paul McCartney, Ringo Star and an Eagles band member. She almost reached out and touched them.
Queen of Hearts - Sue Colacino pulled the Queen, but not the right one!
Birthdays
Jim DeVolder’s birthday was today and we sang happy birthday to him.
The remainder of the meeting was spent making creating Valentine’s Day cards and answering Valentine's Day trivia questions from Holly.
