ANNOUNCEMENTS
Richard VanLaeken hosted a celebration of life for his wife Chelle at Brantling Ski Lodge on Saturday July 17th.
On Thursday, July 29th in lieu of our regular lunch meeting we will be meeting at Rose Bowl Lanes for a trivia night at 6:00 pm.
Donna Johnson, with this weeks Vana” (Dave Hannan) gave us a Premier Sponsor update.  So far we have 17 sponsors for a total of $4,250.
Gary Reilly gave us an update on Camp Onseyawa.  He invited us to visit the Camp Wish List for the needs of the camp this year.  At onseyawa.org you click on the wish list button.  All orders go to the Board president. Please order before July 22nd.
Michele McManus announced the Youth Services committee will be meeting on July 28th at the High School.
The annual Rotary Picnic will be held on Sunday, August 22nd at the Hicks Hacienda” from 1-5 with a picnic dinner at 3:00  You will be contacted to bring a dish to pass. BYOB!
 
WEEKLY BIO - MARGE GILE
Marge was born and grew up in Roxbury, NY in the Catskill Mountains.  After attending Oneonta State and Oswego State, Marge taught elementary School, worked as a school psychologist and sold real estate for 11 years.
She adopted a little boy from Brazil in 1985. 
After having her leg amputated below the knee her physical hobbies have changed.  She enjoys spending time with family and friends, bird watching and trying to visit cool places in the Finger Lakes Region.
 
HAPPY MOMENTS
Scott Healy was happy to try a new seafood dinner of clam-cakes as he traveled to Boston and Rhode Island.  With his wifes approval, they have purchased a new car.
Holly is proud of her family participating in the triathlon where Marc placed 5th in his age group.  Ryan and Grace took first in their age groups.
Melissa was happy to end her duty as Interim Director of Lyons Library.
Susan Schermerhorn was happy to join our Rotary meeting from Clifton Springs.
Bob and Jean Bendix are happy to be celebrating their daughters wedding to Mason Leone.  Jim and Sandy Devolder(Masons aunt and uncle)will join the celebrants.
 
SPEAKER - DAVID ENGLERT
Linda Werts introduced David Englert as the Communications Specialist for the Wayne County Partnership for Strengthening Families.
David, his wife Janet and their 2 sons live in Sodus, NY. where he is the Mayor of the village.
After a chance meeting,while out walking his dogs. David met and was hired by Jay Roscup in November of 2018.
The Wayne Partnership collaborates to strengthen individuals and families through agency cooperation and resource alignment”.  The group is made up of 48 partners.  David facilitates communication to prevent overlap.
Three workgroups cover the areas of Behavioral Health, Family Resources and Education.
Foodlink falls under this umbrella and will be in Newark on Wednesdays at the FLCC campus.  Linda is looking for 10-15 volunteers.
