President Donna brought her husband and children to her final meeting as our leader. Bella and Fred helped to ring us in and out.
President Elect, Melissa Correia had to run and catch a flight to California to visit family. She will begin her presidency at the American Legion on July 1st.

As I get older and remember all the people I’ve lost along the way, I think to myself, maybe a career as a tour guide wasn’t for me.

Last year I joined a support group for procrastinators. We haven’t met yet.
I decided to stop calling the bathroom the “john” and renamed it the “jim”. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

(yes, that’s me) The jokes added some levity each week to what might otherwise have been a boring Bulletin.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
President Donna was pleased to present Mark Thoms with his blue badge. He completed all the requirements with an added bonus of leading the singing of Happy Birthday at least TWELVE TIMES.Doug Doebler wanted to thank all the Rotarians that contributed to the Haiti orphanage project. The Queen of Hearts fundraiser provided a check of over $1,000.
HAPPY MOMENTS AND CONFESSIONS
Steve Hallagan was the proud recipient of the prize for the longest drive at the camp golf tournament. After realizing he was hitting from the yellow tees, he passed his prize to Chris Healy who thought he had come in 2nd.
Lucina was happy to join Janet Tenreiro and be on the winning team at the tournament.

This year’s theme was ROTARY OPENS OPPORTUNITIES
Donna was honored to be our leader during this year with the pandemic that brought many challenges. These words came to mind - “rapid change, uncertainty, creativity, adaption and growth”.We held hybrid meetings with some masked in-person and some on zoom.
Some new fundraising endeavors were the “Premier Sponsor Program”, a chicken and biscuit dinner and a Lasagna dinner in addition to our usual chicken BBQ.
Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee was the first in our district.

A special thank you to the Board of directors in a year of tough decisions and to all the Committee chairmen.Other accomplishments included adding two corporate members, continued work with Habitat for Humanity and the Water for the World project, the Rout 88 clean-up, bell ringers for the Salvation Army, dictionaries for 5th graders and a creative Spelling Bee to help the Literacy program.
Thanks to a 7120 grant we were able to build a deck for the Laurel House.
We had a moment of silence for Carol Nary and Mike DeJohn who passed during this Rotary year. Our membership is now 108.
