September was a busy month. District Governor Jim Crane visited our club on September 11th.
President Chuck presented a check from the Newark Rotary Foundation to Evonne Pomerantz and Nancy Ramos of Family Promise of Wayne County.
Potential members of the Newark Satellite Club gathered at Runaway Blue to discuss the next steps to forming the club.
We also presented a check to Jim Johnson of the Bergen Swamp Preservation Society.
Russ Harris attended the Newark High School open house to promote the Youth Services of the Newark Rotary Club.
In our last meeting of the month, Evie Taylor filled in for guest speaker Ray Defendorf to talk about the Soyodi Global Grant. The grant is intended to help bring vocation training in sewing and tailoring to the people of Uganda.
