- District 7120 Golf Tournament is coming up. Please attend, provide a gift basket, or sponsor the tournament. 9/8 at Lima Country Club - funds support DG Julie Carney’s pet project, “Miss Julie’s School of Beauty” a project aimed at helping slow the scourge of human trafficking and also providing support and job training for the victims.
- Reminder to support the Cash Raffle — $100 per ticket, only 250 tickets being sold. We have sold 123 tickets to date. Senator Pam Helming will draw the winning ticket.

- Marc Kreuser just returned from Milwaukee - his son Ryan participated in a triathlon.
- Bob Bendix announced that their daughter Aubrey has a movie being released today: Love in Taipei
- Grace will be attending Aviation School - had quite the adventure being flown in a Black Hawk helicopter
- Linda Werts celebrated selling her last rental property with the help of David Doebler.

Queen of Hearts. Scott Healy did not pick the Queen - the pot continues to grow.
Program: Steve Hallagan introduced our guest speaker, Bruce Farrington of the Wayne County Bicentennial Committee. Bruce is a resident of Sodus Point. He worked in IT before retirement, he is an avid pickleball and tennis player and has a love of history. One of his goals is to bring historians in our area up to the 21st century with using technology!
Reminder that we will have a Bicentennial Torch Relay - it will start and end at the Wayne County Fair and will run through every village and town in the county. It is broken up into 1 mile lengths to run.
Wayne County Fun Day on 8/19 from 10 to 4pm. Will have reenactors of famous people from our county, like General Granger, General George Garlic, and also Colonel Fitzhugh who served with Gen. George Washington. Will be a very entertaining and informative afternoon.

Bruce also created 52 “Bicentennial minutes”. He created short videos with historical tidbits from every village and town in our county. It took him over 1600 hours - a labor of love.
Showed a video on the coal tressel that was located in Sodus Point. The Tressel burned in 1971 - it caught fire when they were dismantling it. When in operation it ran from April to November. It was located on Route 14 just before the current Malt House. Click here to view the video.
