- Linda Werts - announced a fundraiser event to benefit Called to Care
- Gail Chambers - Community pride day - thank you to all of the Rotarians who helped plant all of the flowers around the village
- Doug Forge - reminder that we have eliminated the Chicken Fundraisers. In lieu of these we are having a cash raffle - we need to sell tickets. Please contact Jan Hence to get 1 or 2 tickets to sell. We want to make this successful we need to sell
Happy Moments:
- Presented a check to $3,475.00 to the Newark Arcadia Historical Society.
- Michele McMannus traveled to Connecticut to visit her daughter - had a great time and attended the Milford, CT Rotary meeting.
- The Villani announced that Newark Library - summer reading program theme is “Community”. Looking for business volunteers to have the children visit to have their passports stamped for a chance to win gift baskets. He is gratefully taking donations to offset the cost of the baskets as well.
- Jeff Patchen - this Saturday his son is getting married.
- Doug Doebler celebrating his 54th anniversary as a Rotary Member.
- Holly Kreuser - shared that Marc and Grace are off celebrating Grace’s graduation by hiking in Montana and Washington.
- Adam O. - bought a boat and a new French bulldog!
- Doug Forge - celebrating the Rochester Amerks.

Queen of Hearts. Chuck Waterman did not pick the Queen - the pot continues to grow.

Sarah works on the social media platform for them.
Dan introduced us to the various e-bikes that are available. Thanked the Village of Newark for their encouragement and help in locating their business in Newark. Thanked David Doebler for all his help in the re-location process.
Had a quiet opening a few weeks ago - which has been well received. They have had many people stop, especially people coming off the canal trail for supplies and repairs.
Ribbon cutting on Friday, 6/2 at 10:00 am and Grand Opening. On Saturday, 6/3 they are hosting a “Demo Day” with refreshments. You can rent them or purchase them. Discounts extended to all Rotarians or Chamber of Commerce members.
- Bikes will go between 40 to 100 miles on a charge depending on the bike
- NYS - bikes cannot go above 27 mph — but they can go up to 90 mph
- Helmets required for people 16 years or younger. If the bike goes over 27 mph technically you are required to wear a helmet. They will provide helmets for rentals
- If you are renting, you must stay within the Village of Newark or Palmyra
- Bikes cost between $799 to $2700
- Bikes don’t recharge through pedaling. However, you must pedal if you want the maximum amount of mileage per charge.
- They offer town and off road bikes
- They run just fine on pedaling only if the charge runs out!
