Rotary Club of Newark, NY

This past Thursday we learned about Fred Snite and his life in an iron lung.
Neil Pitts, president of the Hill Cumorah Pageant, presented a very nice plaque to the Newark Rotary Club this past Thursday. Neil said that the pageant, which was put on over 28 years, would not have been successful without the support of Rotary and Lions Clubs. With Neil and club president Melissa Correia are the past executive committee members of RL Concessions: June Crawford, Doug Forgue, Jan Hence, Jim Praino, Norma Madayag-Reilly, and Gary Reilly.
Our annual Lasagna Dinner was held this past Saturday and was a great success!
Rotarian Suliman Girit visited us from Turkey this past Thursday.
Jorge Bueso manages the Queen of Hearts drawing at our weekly meetings.

Last week we welcomed Brian Pincelli, Director and CEO of Wayne Country Economic Development to our club to give us an update on economic development within the county.
We were very happy to see Helmuth and Hannelora Reinhardt return to our Rotary meeting last Thursday. They finally received the recognitions bestowed on them last year, but delayed due to COVID.
Newark Rotary recently held its annual summer picnic.
District Governor Janet Tenreiro and her husband, Kim, joined us from the Canandaigua Club.
