Rotary Club of Newark, NY

Last week we welcomed Brian Pincelli, Director and CEO of Wayne Country Economic Development to our club to give us an update on economic development within the county.
We were very happy to see Helmuth and Hannelora Reinhardt return to our Rotary meeting last Thursday. They finally received the recognitions bestowed on them last year, but delayed due to COVID.

Newark Rotary recently held its annual summer picnic.
District Governor Janet Tenreiro and her husband, Kim, joined us from the Canandaigua Club.
In lieu of a prayer, we joined Melissa in a moment of silence for the victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti. The country was also drenched with rain from Hurricane Grace. Newark Rotary supports the Kay Espwa home for orphaned or abandoned children in Haiti.
Newark Rotarians enjoyed an evening at First Wine Bar as part of its monthly social event. We played a trivia game and this table won!

We welcomed our speaker, Gabriella Taylor, who was joined by her mother, Cary and her father, Mayor Jonathan Taylor.

David Englert was our speaker as a guest of the club from Wayne Partnership.
